Here's another entry in my "Where did you get a picture like THAT?" series. (I just love showing where different images came from!) Enjoy!
Another entry in my "Where did you find a picture like THAT?" series. This one is for the thriller Reference to Mayhem by Michael A. Hodge. (I'm particularly fond of the disappearing handcuffs!)
I work with stock photos to create my book covers, so most people assume that I scour different vendors to find just the right image to purchase, add the title and author's name and POOF! the cover is done. Alas, no.
"But where did you find a picture like THAT?" authors ask, thinking that somewhere there is a single stock image that is perfect for his or her book cover.
My book covers almost always involve multiple images, and even then, I rarely use the images as they appear on a stock photo site. Let me give you an example.
It's almost like a "Where's Waldo?" picture, right? Oh, look, there's that one blood smear, and there's where that bit of fur on the werewolf came from. I love creating something from bits of nothing!
I've created a few more of these, so in the weeks ahead, I'll add some more. Hope you enjoy!
